1986 Alfa Romeo

Spider Veloce

What We Like

Pininfarina-designed bodywork, a lightweight convertible chassis, soulful four-cylinder engine, and a 5-speed manual transmission are all present in this fun-loving Alfa Spider. The seller reportedly purchased this 43k-mile example from its original owner in December 2020, and has service records from new. Aside from recently refurbished seats and an aftermarket stereo, the vehicle is also said to be highly original. Being a Veloce, this Spider also has the desirable aluminum alloy wheels and air-conditioning. This little Italian sports car is a great entry point into the iconic Alfa Romeo marque.

Seller Information

Vehicle History & Overview

According to the included accident-free Carfax report, this Alfa Romeo Spider Veloce has resided in Virginia since 1995. The seller states that he acquired the car from the original owner in December 2020, and has added less than 700 of the total 43,600 miles shown. This Spider is said to be highly original other than refurbished seats and an aftermarket radio. Per the seller, service records since new are included and the tires were recently replaced. Multiple keys, owner’s manuals, a workshop service manual, and a factory radio are also included.

Alfa Romeo’s Spider is based on the Giuletta and was launched in 1966. The original Spider was designed by Pininfarina and was reportedly the last project on which company founder Battista Pininfarina was involved. Pininfarina was also responsible for manufacturing the body and final assembly. The Series 3 made its US-debut in 1982. The Veloce trim-level seen here included aluminum alloy wheels, leather seating surfaces, air-conditioning, and a cloth convertible top. Production of the Spider ceased in 1994.
