911 Carrera Cabriolet 6-Speed

What We Like

It is often said that maintenance can outweigh mileage in terms of a vehicle’s longevity. This 6-speed manual 997 Cabriolet – wearing the uncommon shade of Slate Grey Metallic – could fall into that category thanks to service records from new and more than $14,000 having been spent since March 2020. A Porsche Certificate of Authenticity and factory window sticker highlight desirable equipment such as heated power seats with driver's memory, multi-function steering wheel, and Bose sound system with a remote 6-disc CD changer. Automatic climate control and a factory wind-deflector help keep occupants comfortable no matter the temperatures. This 997 Cabriolet is ready for many more top-down adventures.

Seller Information

Vehicle History & Overview

Per the included Carfax report this 911 was sold to its first New York-based owner in May 2005 and remained registered in New York state through January 2019. The seller purchased the vehicle in May 2019 in New Jersey, moved it to Utah in May 2020, and subsequently added approximately 5,000 of the 138,900 miles shown. Service records from new are included and receipts totaling more than $14,000 are detailed in the Service & Documentation section below. A car cover, wind-deflector, service records from new, owner’s manuals, and two keys/keyless-entry remotes are included.

The 997-chassis Porsche 911 Carrera S was produced for the 2005-2012 model years and is regarded by many as a return-to-form for the modern 911. The Cabriolet variant offered here received an evolution of the 3.6L flat-six rated at 325 horsepower. That power is delivered through a 6-speed manual transaxle and distributed via an electronically assisted limited-slip differential. Porsche Stability Management helps keep things pointed in the right direction. Slate Grey Metallic as seen on this car was not optioned nearly as often as other grey colors offered at the time. The 997 blends modern technology with Porsche tradition to create a contemporary yet analog driving experience.
