Vehicle History & Overview

Per the factory build plate, this MG B Roadster was manufactured in December 1972. The selling dealer acquired the car in February 2023 from a local friend who had reportedly owned it for around 15 years. In April 2023 the car was disassembled and repainted white, with in-progress images shown in the listing below. Subsequent work includes new seat upholstery and mechanical servicing, also shown below. Modifications include a Mountney wood-rimmed steering wheel, Kenwood AM/FM/cassette stereo, and the engine block/valve cover painted in dark red. A convertible top boot, tonneau cover, spare wheel/tire assembly, and jack accompany the sale.

Note that this MG B was originally offered on Marqued in June 2023. It is being offered here after the winner did not follow through for personal reasons unrelated to the vehicle. Servicing & Documentation

• In April 2023 this MG B was disassembled and repainted white, as shown in photos below.

• Prior to this auction, the seats were reupholstered in black with white piping, as shown below.

• Per the selling dealer, additional recent mechanical servicing includes:

  • Rebuilt engine cylinder-head, new head-gasket

  • Replaced various rubber seals

  • Replaced reverse lights

Imperfections

• Some exterior scratches and paint chips

• Wheels show some scrapes, chrome trim rings dented in some spots, as shown below.

• Tires manufactured in 2006, sidewalls show some cracking.
