Seller Information

Vehicle History & Overview

This MX-5 Miata is believed to have been purchased new in June 1990 by the owner of Mazda of Glens Falls, New York and remained under his ownership for more than 25 years. The seller purchased the vehicle in August of 2016 and has added less than 200 of the total 16,200 miles shown. A period-correct Viper alarm system and FET driving lights are thought to have been installed shortly after it was sold new. Other than the previously-mentioned upgrades, the vehicle is mechanically stock, highly original, and carries a clean Carfax report showing New York registration from new. Some service records, the factory window-sticker, and various other supporting documents are included.

Mazda's MX-5 Miata revolutionized the affordable sports car market when it was launched in 1989. Its lightweight convertible chassis, front-engine/rear-drive layout, accessible performance, neutral handling, and a fun-to-drive personality combined with renowned Japanese reliability to instantly make the Miata a modern classic. Features like 90s-era pop-up headlights, desirable options such as the factory hardtop seen on this example, and factory support of motorsports programs only increase the Miata's appeal.
