Biturbo Si 5-Speed

What We Like

Classic 1980s wedge-styling, a twin-turbocharged V6 paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox, rear-wheel-drive, and a Maserati badge command automotive enthusiasts' attention. This Biturbo Si has just 54,100 miles, includes service records back to new, and has remained in California from new as corroborated by records and an accident-free Carfax report. These Si models feature an updated fuel-injection system and intercoolers for the twin-turbochargers which greatly increase reliability compared to the earlier cars. With an exciting drivetrain, interesting colors, low miles, and comprehensive documentation, this Biturbo provides an attractive entry-point into a storied Italian marque.

Seller Information

Vehicle History & Overview

According to its window sticker, this Biturbo Si was delivered new to Maserati Sacramento in Fair Oaks, California optioned with cruise control and floor mats. Documentation back to new combined with the included Carfax report appear to show that the car has been kept in California since. The seller reportedly acquired the car from its third owner in late 2019, and has since added approximately 1,000 of the 54,100 miles shown. The vehicle is said to be highly original with no known accidents or paintwork, while modifications appear to be limited to an Alpine audio unit. The factory audio unit is included.

Introduced in 1984, the BiTurbo was marketed as a more affordable entry compared to the exotics of years past. Seating for four, a twin-turbo V6, 5-speed manual, and rear-wheel-drive combined with an elegant design to create a stylish and reasonably practical Italian sports-coupe. Released in 1987, the Si version introduced fuel-injection and factory intercoolers for the twin-turbochargers, which instantly provided better overall performance and reliability. Luxurious interior appointments for the time include leather on most surfaces, an analog clock mounted into a wood-trimmed dash, a wood shift-knob, and more.
