Attractive post-war styling, contemporary performance, compact dimensions, and individuality make for a great car. This 1958 Morris Minor Traveller ticks all of those boxes and has the added bonus of a distinctive ash wood rear body. Power comes from a supercharged "Spridget" 1,275cc engine, while a Sprite 4-speed manual gearbox handles power. Updated electrical, braking, and suspension systems help increase overall reliability, while a large rear storage area and fold-down rear seat provide surprising practicality. Add an attractive period color combination and this Traveller becomes a very interesting and distinctive package. This little Morris is equally capable of running around town or sparking conversation at your local cars and coffee event!

The seller acquired this Traveller in July 2012 and has since updated and upgraded the vehicle to its current specification. The Morris Minor was launched in 1948 and received updates until production ceased in 1971. The Minor-based Traveller was released in 1952 and was updated to Series III specification in 1956, which is the version offered here. Travellers were constructed using an ash wood structure that was affixed to a Morris Minor chassis. The wood frame was varnished instead of painted, and is a defining characteristic of this version of the Minor.
