The 993-chassis Porsche 911 (1995-1998 in the US market) was the swan-song for the air-cooled 911 engine and chassis. The updated 3.6L flat-six developed 270 horsepower and was paired with a 6-speed version of the famed “G50” manual transmission. The 993 was also the most advanced version of the air-cooled chassis to date and featured contemporary strut-type suspension, kinematic passive rear-steering, ABS, all-wheel-drive, and more.
