Legendary reliability and overall build quality combined with classic styling helped create an icon in the Mercedes-Benz W123-chassis. This late-model 300D features the most powerful version of the renowned OM617 turbocharged 3.0L inline five-cylinder diesel engine offered in the US. The recently-refinished Astral Silver Metallic paint and the Blue Velour interior complement each other nicely. Factory equipment such as Zebrano wood trim, automatic climate control, and a Becker Mexico stereo further enhances an already-desirable package. This Mercedes-Benz 300D is ready for its next driver to continue adding to the W123 legacy.

The Mercedes-Benz W123-chassis was launched for the 1976 model year. Various configurations and engines were available, including the sedan equipped with a turbocharged 3.0L inline-five-cylinder diesel featured here. Updates in 1982 saw engine output rise to 125 horsepower and 181 lb-ft of torque, while Zebrano wood trim became standard, door panels came equipped with cloth inserts, and wind noise was reduced thanks to revised roof moldings. The OM617-code turbodiesel engine in the featured 300D is considered one of the most reliable engines ever made, with some examples reaching over 600,000 miles before needing to be rebuilt. Series production ended in 1986.
