1957 Triumph

TR3

What We Like

Small British roadsters defined the sports car segment for decades, and Triumph has been synonymous with top-down fun for 70+ years. This TR3 is an uncommon “small mouth” variant with factory disc brakes that was last registered in 1984, and was reportedly stored indoors by the prior owner with the intent to refurbish it. The selling dealer recently acquired the car in the hopes of finding an enthusiast owner to return it to its former glory. Now offered at NO RESERVE, this Triumph TR3 is a fantastic starting point for someone looking to resurrect an iconic car that helped the small sports car genre flourish!

Vehicle History & Overview

This “small mouth” Triumph TR3 was acquired by the selling dealer in March 2023 from the prior owner, who had reportedly stored the TR3 indoors for more than 30 years with the intent to refurbish it. The Triumph was last registered for road use in 1984 and currently shows 57,700 miles. Pictures of the TR3 in the garage where it was found are shown in the main gallery. The selling dealer states this TR3 does not run and needs a full refurbishment. Also, it is noted that the engine does not turn, and the convertible top fabric is missing but the bows are present. Sliding-window side curtains, a tonneau cover, and spare steering wheel are included. Of note, the 1957 TR3 was allegedly the first production car to employ front disc brakes.
