Certain cars are just plain fun, even at road-legal speeds. This Fiat 850 Spider is one such car thanks to its featherweight rear-wheel-drive chassis, rear-engine layout, and cheerful inline-four-cylinder engine. Styling and production were courtesy of Italian designer Bertone, which show through in this car’s clean lines and metal convertible top tonneau cover. Modifications include a Pioneer stereo and amplifier along with a set of black 13” wheel covers. This 850 Spider, offered at NO RESERVE, can be fully refurbished or enjoyed "as is" on twisty back-country roads. At any speed, it's sure to put a smile on the next owner's face!

This Fiat 850 Spider was purchased by the selling dealer in January 2023 and shows 55,500 miles, with true mileage unknown. It is believed that the car was repainted under prior ownership, however records are not available. This 850 Spider is said to be mechanically stock, while modifications include aftermarket 13” wheel covers and a Pioneer stereo with a 40w power booster mounted under the dash.
The Fiat 850 Spider was introduced in 1965 alongside the 850 Coupe, and was built by Bertone at its Turin, Italy plant. Due to certain regulations, Spiders bound for the US market received a smaller 817cc inline-four-cylinder engine with higher compression that required premium-grade fuel. Series production of the Spider ended in 1973 after a reported run of 140,000 units.
