1968 Triumph

TR250

What We Like

Of all the classic Triumph roadsters, the TR250 is recognized as a very special car that was only offered for the 1968 model year. Already rare and desirable, this particular TR250 has had just two owners from new, with the previous owner keeping it over five decades since 1971! The car is described as largely stock aside from a repaint with added metallic gray stripes, and is powered by a factory 2.5-liter inline-six and correct 4-speed manual gearbox. This TR250 is still on its 1971-issued Connecticut title, and is also offered with its original uninstalled "bumble bee" engine hoses, an exceptionally rare find these days!

Vehicle History & Overview

This one-year-only 1968 Triumph TR250 was delivered new in White (color code 19) and was repainted white with metallic gray stripes on the hood and front fenders under prior ownership. The selling dealer states that they acquired this TR250 in May 2023 directly from its second owner, who purchased the car 52 years ago in in 1971. Power comes from a factory 2.5-liter inline-six breathing through dual Zenith-Stromberg carburetors, which sends power rearward via a 4-speed manual gearbox. The car is described as largely stock throughout and is now offered with a 1971-issued Connecticut title, its uninstalled original "bumble bee" engine hoses, factory spare wheel/tire assembly with an additional hubcap, factory tools, and a full-cabin tonneau cover.
