Vehicle History & Overview

This 560SL was delivered to its first owner on September 30, 1986. The seller states he acquired the 560SL from its second owner, who kept the vehicle for more than 20 years and resided in the greater New England area until the seller purchased the vehicle in late 2021. The included clean Carfax report shows multiple service records under prior ownership. Included service records from April 2021 show, among others, seat repair and instrument cluster repairs as well as an A/C system service. A Sony audio unit appears to be the only modification. The matching factory hardtop is included.

The R107-chassis SL-series made its North American debut in 1972, with the 560SL arriving in 1986. Featuring a 5.5L V8 developing 227 horsepower and 287 lb-ft of torque paired with a 4-speed automatic, the 560SL was capable of 0-60 mph in less than 7.0 seconds and could continue on to nearly 150 mph. Amenities included automatic climate control, leather and wood trim, power windows/mirrors, and an outside temperature gauge. A body-color removable hardtop was offered as seen on this example.
