911 40th Anniversary Edition

What We Like

When the terms "anniversary" and "Porsche" are combined, the result is bound to be special. This 2004 911 40th Anniversary is number 824 of 1,963 produced world-wide and has covered just over 65k miles. These limited-run cars feature the X51 Powerkit yielding 345 horsepower, M030 suspension, unique bodywork, specially-finished 18-inch wheels, exclusive GT Silver Metallic paint borrowed from Porsche's Carrera GT supercar, and more. This example also retains the factory matching luggage set. As is often the case with a limited-edition Porsche vehicle, the whole is greater than the sum of its parts, and the result is a truly special experience.

Seller Information

Vehicle History & Overview

This 2004 911 40th Anniversary was sold new in California and was purchased by the second and current owner in April 2009 before moving to Georgia in 2018. The selling dealer has added approximately 5 miles since taking possession in November 2021. Service records dating from 2008 will be provided. Like most 40th Anniversary edition 911s, this one was well equipped and had an original MSRP of $94,870. The vehicle is considered highly original and comes with the matching luggage set that is all-too-often lost during ownership transitions.

By 2004 the 996-chassis 911 had established itself as a solid successor to earlier generations. Porsche released the 40th Anniversary (aka 40 Jahre) edition in 2004 to celebrate 40 years of the 911 in the US. To note its special status, each car carries a numbered dash plaque. Exterior changes over the standard 911 include a 911 Turbo-inspired front bumper, GT3 side-skirts, polished 18-inch Carrera II wheels, and GT Silver Metallic paint borrowed from the Carrera GT supercar. Mechanical upgrades include Porsche's M030 suspension, the X51 Powerkit factory-rated at 345 horsepower, and a standard limited-slip-differential.
