Vehicle History & Overview

Per the included accident-free Carfax report, this 560SL was first sold on July 30, 1987 in Illinois and remained there for nearly 10 years. The vehicle moved to Missouri in May of 1997 and stayed with what appears to be the second owner for nearly 20 years. In April 2016 a new owner was reported in New York, and the vehicle resided there until it was acquired by the seller in November 2021. Service records since 2016 are included, and the vehicle appears to be unmodified other than a JVC audio unit and Pioneer speakers.

The R107-chassis SL-series made its North American debut in 1972, with the 560SL arriving in 1986. Featuring a 5.5L V8 developing 227 horsepower and 287 lb-ft of torque paired with a 4-speed automatic, the 560SL was capable of 0-60 mph in less than 7.0 seconds and could continue on to nearly 150 mph. Amenities included automatic climate control, leather and wood trim, power windows/mirrors, and an outside temperature gauge. A body-color removable hardtop was offered as seen on this example.
