911 Carrera Coupe Safari 6-Speed

What We Like

These days, Safari-style 911 builds are quite popular, however this particular car claims to be one of the very first 996-generation builds completed years ago. Highlights include a 2" suspension lift, satin Porsche Olive Green paint, 17" wheels with all-terrain tires, roof-mounted PIAA rally lights, a roof rack with various accessories, distinctive tartan plaid seat upholstery, and much more. Aside from the eye-catching aesthetics, this rear-wheel drive Carrera features a 320 horsepower 3.6-liter flat-six paired with a factory 6-speed manual transmission, ensuring its next owner will have plenty of fun behind the wheel, whether on or off the road!

Vehicle History & Overview

This 2002 Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe was built in February 2002 finished in Arctic Silver Metallic over Black partial leather with a 6-speed manual transmission. In March 2006 at 37,238 miles the original M96 3.6-liter flat-six engine, clutch, and more were replaced due to an Intermediate Shaft (IMS) bearing failure, with the associated receipt included in the sale. According to the included clean Carfax report, the car has been registered in several states and was most recently kept in Maryland, where the selling dealer acquired it in September 2023.

Several years ago, this 996.2 was modified by a prior owner in a "Safari" style, with highlights including a 2" suspension lift, white-painted 17" Boxster wheels fitted with all-terrain tires, roof-mounted PIAA rally lights, a roof rack with a full-sized spare and accessories, front skid plate, tartan plaid seat inserts, and more as described below.
