1989 Mercedes-Benz

560SEC

What We Like

There are few automobiles with the road presence and instant recognizability of a pillarless Mercedes-Benz S-Class coupe. This near-stock 560SEC has just 72k miles and features a naturally-aspirated 5.5L V8 engine combined with a leather and wood-trimmed cabin and luxurious amenities. Notable features include heated/memory front seats, automatic climate control, heat-insulated glass, and world’s-first front seat-belt presenters. A Kenwood CD player is said to be the only modification, and the OEM Becker Grand Prix radio is included. This timeless low-mileage Mercedes-Benz coupe is ready to be enjoyed at local events and on road-trips. Where will it take you?

Seller Information

Vehicle History & Overview

Per the included clean Carfax report, this 560SEC was sold to its first Florida-based owner in November 1989, with subsequent registration in Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, and Missouri. The selling dealer purchased this Mercedes-Benz from its prior owner in April 2023. The selling dealer recently had the rear bumper and rear trunk-lid repainted to correct cosmetic flaws, and it is believed that the front fenders were resprayed under prior ownership. As a flagship vehicle, Mercedes-Benz W126/C126-class automobiles came fully-equipped with a host of contemporary performance, safety and comfort features. Pioneering technologies include using high-strength low-alloy steel to reduce weight while maintaining structural rigidity. Some service records, the OEM Becker Grand Prix radio, two keys, and factory owner's manuals are included.
