This 500 Abarth was sold to its first Maryland-based owner in January 2013 and remained registered in Maryland until it was purchased by the selling dealer in January 2023. The Fiat 500 Abarth was launched in 2009, resurrecting the Abarth name after many years. Updates in 2013 brought power output up to 160 horsepower, a plentiful sum in a car weighing just 2,300 pounds. Other upgrades for the Abarth over the standard 500 include a lower, stiffer suspension setup, larger diameter wheels with wider tires, model-specific front and rear bumpers, Abarth graphics and badging, and a twin-exit exhaust system. Abarth series US production ended in 2019.
