The included clean Carfax report shows this SL600 was sold new out of Pennsylvania in July 2004, moved to Texas in 2005, and has resided in Indiana since 2017. The seller purchased the vehicle in June 2021 and will provide service records totaling nearly $9,000 since 2018. Repairs include, but are not limited to replacement of the Active Body Control hydraulic pump and the A/C compressor assembly. Optional "Alphard" style wheels complement the black over beige color combination and the vehicle appears unmodified.
Launched in 2001, the R230-chassis is the fifth generation of the Mercedes-Benz SL-series and the first generation to employ a power-retractable folding hardtop. Other upgrades included more powerful engines, improved handling, increased safety, and even more luxury. The SL600's V12-engine was twin-turbocharged for the first time and developed 493 horsepower and an incredible 590 lb-ft of torque. This tremendous output allowed the SL600 to rocket from 0 – 60 mph in 3.6 seconds and covered the 1/4-mile in 11.9 seconds in a March 2004 Car and Driver test.
