The Lotus Esprit is legendary, with a dedicated following thanks to a stunning wedge-shape penned by famed Italian designer Giugiaro combined with a lightweight chassis offering corner-carving performance. This highly-original 13k-mile V8 model, finished in Calypso Red over a black leather interior, was reportedly owned by one family from new and carries a clean Carfax report. In 2022, the selling dealer spent over $10k in service in preparation for the sale--service records under the prior owner since 2017 are also included. The factory twin-turbocharged 3.5L flat-plane-crank V8 engine churns out 350 horsepower and is mated to a slick-shifting 5-speed gearbox. This example of classic British ingenuity and engineering is ready to wow whoever gets behind the wheel or has the pleasure of seeing it go down the road.

Per the included clean Carfax report, this Esprit V8 was sold to its first New Jersey-based owner in May 1998 and was registered in Pennsylvania beginning in December 2005. Per the selling dealer, the second reported owner was the original owner's uncle, who was gifted the car in July 2011 and kept it registered in Massachusetts. The selling dealer purchased this Esprit in February 2022 and had over $10,000 in servicing completed shortly thereafter, as detailed below. Service records since 2017, owner’s manuals, a factory toolkit, and three keys are included.
The Lotus Esprit was first launched in October 1975, with production beginning June 1976. Wedge-shaped bodywork by famed Italian designer Giugiaro was laid over a steel backbone chassis. Several design updates took place over the next two decades, with the Esprit V8 featured here being the last of the model and launched in 1996. A Lotus-designed twin-turbocharged 3.5L flat-plane-crank V8 engine was modestly tuned to produce 350 horsepower. Chassis, suspension, and braking updates all combined with the new engine to bring the Esprit up to nearly supercar levels of performance. Series production of the Esprit ended in 2004.
