For those seeking classic top-down Italian motoring, it doesn’t get much better than the Alfa Romeo Giulia Spider. This example is finished in red over a black leather interior with a black soft top. In addition to its acclaimed twin-cam engine, this Giulia Spider features a 5-speed manual transmission, Dunlop front disc brakes, and 15-inch Borrani steel wheels with factory Alfa Romeo hub caps. Functional upgrades include a two-barrel Weber carburetor and MSD electronic ignition. This Giulia Spider continues the legacy set by earlier Alfas, offering a timeless Pininfarina design combined with open-air driving pleasure.

This Giulia Spider is reportedly a three-owner vehicle, with the original New York-based owner selling the vehicle in 1989. The seller acquired the vehicle in late 1999 from the second owner. The seller states that approximately 12,000 of the total 48,300 miles shown were added under his ownership. Power comes from a period-correct DOHC 1.6L inline-four-cylinder engine and 5-speed manual transmission. This vehicle is believed to be largely original other than an upgraded Weber two-barrel carburetor and MSD ignition system. A factory air-cleaner, tool kit, repair manual, and combination oil temp/water temp/fuel gauge are included.
The Alfa Romeo Giulia Spider debuted in mid-1955 under the Giulietta name featuring Pininfarina-designed bodywork. When the new Giulia sedan arrived in 1962, Alfa Romeo created the Giulia Spider utilizing mechanical upgrades that included a larger 1,570cc inline-four-cylinder engine and 5-speed manual transmission. Giulia Spiders are visually distinguished via a hood-bulge to clear the taller engine. In 1964, Dunlop front disc brakes replaced the previous drum setup. Giulia Spider production continued until mid-1966.
