1977 Porsche

911S Coupe 3.0L 5-Speed

What We Like

Few sports cars remain as coveted and recognizable as a G-body "impact bumper" Porsche 911. This 1977 911S Coupe features a recently-serviced 911SC 3.0L flat-six paired with a factory 915 5-speed gearbox, along with several tasteful upgrades to ensure it stands out from the crowd. The seller reportedly bought this car from a personal friend who kept it for 20+ years. This 911S appears to be a great driver to be enjoyed as-is or tailored to the lucky next owner's tastes while adding miles and enjoying additional power from the 3.0-liter engine!

Seller Information

Vehicle History & Overview

This 1977 Porsche 911S Coupe is finished in black over black upholstery and shows 140,400 miles. The seller's friend (a retired automobile mechanic) reportedly purchased the car in 2001, and the seller bought it from him in August 2023--approximately 300 miles have been added since. This 911S features a 3.0-liter flat-six engine transplanted from a 1978-1983 911SC, which is paired to a factory 915 5-speed manual transmission. In 2023, Porsche specialist PBR Restorations of Crockett, California completed a $1,635.52 service as described below in the Servicing & Documentation section.

Modifications include 16x7" front and 16x9" rear Fuchs wheels, a front chin spoiler and "whale tail" rear spoiler with an integrated third brake light, red-painted brake calipers, drilled brake discs, a front strut tower brace, updated stereo system, and more. This G-body Porsche 911S is now offered with recent service receipts, the factory spare wheel/tire assembly, and a clean California title in the seller's name.
