1976 Toyota

Land Cruiser FJ40

What We Like

Legendary reliability and off-road capability are the cornerstones of the Toyota Land Cruiser ideology. This FJ40, finished in uncommon Rustic Green, reportedly benefits from a re-spray, engine overhaul, and new upholstery done within the last year. A desirable hardtop configuration is paired with the stalwart inline six-cylinder engine, 4-speed manual transmission, and 4-wheel-drive. The previous owner is said to have kept the vehicle for 20 years. Modifications include removal of the factory radio and high-back bucket front seats with headrests. This capable FJ40 is sure to turn heads whether on- or off-road. Where will it take you first?

Vehicle History & Overview

The seller purchased this FJ40 in May 2022 and has added approximately 5,000 of the 69,000 kilometers shown, although total mileage is unknown. Reportedly the prior owner kept this FJ40 for 20 years. Also, it is said to have served on a coffee plantation in Costa Rica at some point. The seller states that an engine overhaul, exterior and interior respray, and seat reupholstering were performed within the last year. Factory 15” split rims wear 32” x 11.50” Dunlop Grantrek tires, with a matching spare tire mounted on the swing-away tire carrier. The factory hardtop covers dual side-facing rear bench seats, while a 2F 4.2L inline-six-cylinder engine paired with a 4-speed manual transmission propels this FJ40.
