1996 Nissan

300ZX Twin Turbo

What We Like

A classic wedge-shape, 70k-miles, service records from 1996, and no modifications other than a Kenwood CD changer are all part of this final year 300ZX Twin Turbo’s appeal. This vehicle appears to be highly original while a clean Carfax report shows just three owners over the last 26 years. Recent servicing includes a new clutch and battery replacement in September 2020. Technologically advanced for its time, Nissan employed a 300 horsepower twin-turbocharged V6, adjustable suspension, and Super HICAS four-wheel-steering that still offer contemporary performance. This car provides an opportunity to own a piece of Rad-era royalty.

Vehicle History & Overview

The included accident-free Carfax reports this 300ZX was delivered in April 1996 to its first owner in Mesa, Arizona. The second owner, said to be enthusiast of 90s Japanese sports cars, purchased the vehicle in 1998 and kept it in Florida until 2005. For the last 16 years the vehicle resided in New York until it was acquired by the seller in late 2021. According to the seller, the vehicle shows no modifications save for a dealer-installed, trunk-mounted Kenwood CD changer. Service records from 1996 are provided.

Similar to many other 90s Japanese performance cars, the Z32-chassis 300ZX was packed with technology and offered performance on par with many exotics of the era. A twin-turbocharged & intercooled 3.0L V6, 5-speed manual transmission, adjustable ride-control suspension, and Super HICAS four-wheel steering derived from the system on the mighty Skyline GT-R made said performance possible. 1996 was the final year for this technological tour-de-force and the last time a turbocharged Z-car would be offered in the US for nearly 30-years.
