Seller Information

Vehicle History & Overview

This MG B Roadster was acquired by the selling dealer in June 2021 and passed a stringent California smog-test shortly thereafter. The seller has added less than 100 of the 64,800 miles shown. It is believed the car underwent a color change from white to dark green, based in part on the white engine compartment. Included in the sale is the original Massachusetts title from 1978 when the car was sold new.

The MG B was launched in 1962 and utilized a modern unibody chassis design. This chassis incorporated one of the first uses of crumple-zones designed to offer greater passenger protection. Power was provided by a 1.8L inline-four-cylinder engine paired with a 4-speed manual transmission. Braking was supplied via front disc-brakes with dual-piston calipers and rear drums. Later US-bound models featured rubber bumpers and a slightly increased ride height. Series production ended in 1980.
