2000 BMW

M Roadster

What We Like

In the M Roadster, BMW’s legendary inline six-cylinder engine, five-speed manual gearbox, and rear-wheel drive layout combine to create driving dynamics craved by generations of enthusiasts. This mostly stock, 69k-mile example features the classic color combination of Titan Silver Metallic with a black top, over a Black Nappa leather cabin. Under the seller, this M3 Roadster recently received nearly $6,000 in service, including replacement of the clutch hydraulics, clutch assembly, flywheel, front/rear shocks and springs, front brakes, and more. May the new owner enjoy its timeless long-hood, short-deck lines and classic driving experience for years to come.

Seller Information

Vehicle History & Overview

This M Roadster's included Carfax report shows some service history since 2004. The vehicle has resided in Illinois, Maryland, and Virginia. Service records since 2018 are included and the seller states nearly $6,000 was recently spent on maintenance and repairs, including replacing the ignition coils, spark plugs, shocks and springs, clutch hydraulics, clutch assembly, flywheel, brakes and brake hoses, and more. A second new-in-box convertible top, owner’s manuals, and two keys are included.

The first generation of BMW M Roadster was based on the already successful Z3 and sold in the US between 1998 – 2002. Upgrades over the standard Z3 include BMW's stalwart "S52" inline six-cylinder engine factory-rated at 240 horsepower, a revised suspension system, brakes borrowed from the E36 M3, and myriad other improvements. These cars are visually distinguished from the standard Z3 via revised front and rear bumpers, lower ride-height, M-specific wheels, and quad exhaust tips.
