Some cars are just cool due to their design, innovation, or unique personality. This European-market Citroën CX incorporates all those characteristics thanks to a design with low drag-coefficient, innovative hydro-pneumatic suspension, and unique styling. Per the seller, this uncommon Series 2 car was sold new in Paris and later owned by a French collector. Eccentric design traits such as the fastback styling, Diravi self-centering steering system, and center console-mounted Blaupunkt radio with a wireless graphic EQ remote control are paired with features such as the leather upholstery with red piping. This Citroën is ready for its next owner to cruise in French-designed opulence while also enjoying the performance of its turbocharged engine.

According to the seller, this Citroën CX was sold new in Paris and eventually purchased by a French collector. The car was later moved to the Netherlands before being imported to the US by the seller in December 2021, who has added approximately 3,200 of the 191,100 kilometers shown. Based on the seller's research, this heavily-optioned CX also appears to be one of the last produced before production ceased. The owner’s manuals, two keys, manuals, period ads, and importation documents are included.
The Citroën CX was initially launched in 1974 as replacement for the much-loved DS and is often considered the last real Citroën before the company was bought by Peugeot. The CX was penned by renowned designer Robert Opron and is said to be his favorite of the three cars he designed for Citroën. Besides its aerodynamically efficient fastback design, the CX is mainly known for its hydro-pneumatic, self-leveling suspension system. The CX 25 GTi Turbo 2 was the most powerful version available, and many feel it finally gave the CX platform the power it deserved.
