Seller Information

Vehicle History & Overview

The selling dealer reports that this vehicle was imported from Japan prior to purchasing it in May 2020. Upon acquisition, the selling dealer performed a lube/oil/filter service as well as a transmission service and replaced the front and rear brake pads, all four shocks, the heater core, and the radiator. Modifications appear to be limited to an aluminum radiator and fog lights. Multiple keys and service records are included.

Toyota’s Land Cruiser comes in many forms, with the Prado being the smaller, lighter-weight version designed for smaller environments and more road-biased usage. Multiple engines were available, such as the 2L-TE 2.4L turbo-diesel inline-four cylinder seen here. This engine would mark the first time electronic fuel injection was applied to the diesel. Although marketed as a more entry-level model, the Prado came well equipped with features like an AM/FM/cassette radio and separate climate controls for the front and rear passengers. Series production ended in 1996.
