Per the included clean Carfax report this Corvette Z06 was sold new to its first Virginia-based owner in December 2005. Subsequent owners kept the Corvette registered in Virginia and the included Carfax report shows multiple service visits to Pohanka Chevrolet of Chantilly, Virginia. The selling dealer acquired this Z06 in February 2023 and has added less than 200 of the 21,200 miles shown. The owner’s manuals and two keys are included.
The C6-chassis Corvette was released for the 2005 model-year, with the Z06 version featured here released the following year. The Z06 differed heavily from the standard Corvette, with the biggest news being a hand-built LS7 7.0L V8 engine developing 505 horsepower. However, the Z06 was more than just an engine and featured a lightweight aluminum chassis with a fixed roof, revised aerodynamics that included wider fenders, upgraded suspension and brakes, and model-specific forged-alloy wheels. Independent testing by Car and Driver showed the Z06 could hit 0-60mph in 3.6 seconds cover the quarter mile in 11.7 seconds at 125mph -- results that are still impressive today. Series production of the C6-chassis Z06 ended in 2013.
