300SEL 4.5

What We Like

With just 2,533 total cars built between 1972-73, the W109 300SEL 4.5 is a rare classic Mercedes-Benz combining performance with the utmost luxury of the 1970s. This particular US-spec example was kept in California for years and is described as largely stock aside from a recently refreshed leather interior, updated period-correct Becker cassette player, and having the factory Thermoking air conditioning system converted to R134a refrigerant. Service records since 2014 accompany the sale and show maintenance of the factory air suspension, V8 engine, automatic transmission, and more. If you've been hunting for a classic Benz that's likely to be the only one in town, this 300SEL 4.5 may be the one!
