1983 Porsche

911SC Coupe

What We Like

Porsche 911SC values have seen steady increases recently as drivers and collectors rediscover the pure driving experience these cars offer. This example is finished in uncommon Ruby Red Metallic over a two-tone Black/Grey-Beige interior and features an accident-free Carfax report. A numbers-matching drivetrain is paired with desirable factory options such as fog lights, forged Fuchs alloy wheels, air-conditioning, and more. Modifications appear to be limited to a Pioneer audio unit, an early 911 Turbo-style rear wing, and a front strut-tower brace. This 911SC is ready to hit the open road or take part in your local Cars & Coffee event.

Seller Information

Vehicle History & Overview

The included, accident-free Carfax report starts in June of 1990 and shows ownership in New York through late 2004. The vehicle moved to Florida in early 2005 and was acquired by the selling dealer in October of 2020 for a client that wished to export the car. That process fell through, and the selling dealer has re-listed the car. From October of 2020 until now, the vehicle has reportedly been stored in a climate-controlled facility and serviced as needed. Modifications appear to be limited to an early 911 Turbo-style rear spoiler, Pioneer audio unit, and front strut-tower brace.

The 911SC is part of the G-series family and was produced from 1978 – 1983 in the US. The SC, short for Super Carrera, features a 3.0-liter flat-six paired with a “915-series” 5-speed manual gearbox driving the rear wheels. Although power output was under 200 horsepower, the SC's lightweight chassis and sharp handling dynamics made it competitive against cars with more power. This final-year example is finished in the relatively uncommon color of Ruby Red Metallic.
