This 911SC is an ROW example and is believed to be a European-market car. Documentation from September 2005 includes an inspection was done at MPL Auto Repair of Englewood, Colorado. An engine and transmission rebuild totaling nearly $10,000 was completed in October 2005 at 69,591 miles. The seller purchased the 911 in December 2021 and performed a variety of maintenance and repairs in preparation for the sale. Per the seller and an included paint-gauge report, the entire vehicle appears to have been repainted at some point, but no specific record is available.
The 911SC is part of the G-series family and was produced from 1978 – 1983 in the US. The SC, short for Super Carrera, features a 3.0-liter flat-six paired with a “915-series” 5-speed manual gearbox driving only the rear wheels. Although power output was under 200 horsepower, the SC's lightweight chassis and sharp handling dynamics made it competitive against cars with more power. The ROW-variant featured here is desirable due to increased power output and smaller bumperettes on the rear.
