1974 Innocenti

Mini Cooper 1300 Export

What We Like

The Mini Cooper is loved the world over for its compact size and fun-to-drive quotient. This Italian-built Innocenti Mini Cooper 1300 reportedly benefits from a re-spray in light blue with a white top and a refurbished black interior. Innocenti badges and a model-specific front grille and rear hatch distinguish the Italian Mini from its British brother. The dual-carbureted, 1,275cc inline four-cylinder engine paired with a 4-speed manual gearbox provides propulsion. Ten-inch Minilite-style alloy wheels wear newer Yokohama Advan tires. Grab the three-spoke wood-rimmed steering wheel, go for a ride, and experience the Mini magic for yourself.

Seller Information

Vehicle History & Overview

The selling dealer acquired this Innocenti Mini Cooper 1300 in June 2022 and reports the vehicle underwent a cosmetic refurbishment during prior ownership. This included a re-spray in blue with a white top and an updated black interior. Thus Mini shows 10,800 miles on the odometer, however true mileage is unknown.

British Leyland launched the Mini in 1959 and it became an instant icon. It wasn’t long before the Mini captured hearts outside of Great Britain. However, this presented problems for British Leyland due to export costs. Italian manufacturer Innocenti stepped in and produced the export version of the Mini on commission from February 1973 to January 1975 with total production believed to be over 28,000 units. Reportedly the Italian Mini was better finished and offered more accessories in addition to unique styling changes such as the front grille and rear trunk door, the latter of which was changed to accommodate Italian license plates.
