911 Carrera Cabriolet

What We Like

There’s a purity of purpose in how an early 911 drives -- thanks to unassisted steering, no electronic driver aids, and a throaty air-cooled flat-six engine. This ROW Cabriolet carries an accident-free Carfax report, and further heightens the unfiltered experience with its retractable soft-top and upgraded GHL dual-exit exhaust. This example also benefits from a glass-out respray in Guards Red, a replacement convertible top, and recent service in June of 2022 that includes an oil change, transmission service, and brake fluid exchange. This 911 Cabriolet is ready to hit the road with its new owner.

Seller Information

Vehicle History & Overview

This ROW 911 Cabriolet carries an accident-free Carfax report that begins in June of 1991 when the car was registered in Virginia. The car remained in Virginia for more than 25 years until the selling dealer acquired it in April of 2018. Under the selling dealer’s ownership the vehicle received a glass-out respray in 2020, a replacement convertible top, and a GHL dual-exit exhaust system. Service completed in June of 2022 includes an oil change, transmission fluid exchange, and brake fluid exchange. The aforementioned GHL exhaust and removal of the A/C system appear to be the only modifications.

The “G-series” 911 was launched in 1974 in the US. Visual differences versus its predecessor included a “short-nose” and matching “impact” bumpers to meet new crash standards. In 1984 Porsche updated the engine to a larger 3.2-liter unit with improvements to the valve-train and electronic fuel injection, as seen on this example. The G-series is the last 911 to utilize the original suspension design and is devoid of driver aids like ABS or power steering. As such, these cars offer an unfiltered driving experience that makes them some of the most sought-after 911s produced.
