The included Carfax report shows this Boxster was sold new in Wisconsin in May 2001 where it spent time before moving to Pennsylvania and later, Ohio. The seller purchased the vehicle in September 2003 and has maintained ownership for nearly 20 years. Porsche's Boxster debuted in late 1996 and was an instant hit thanks to its sweet-sounding flat-six engine, 5-speed manual transmission, and agile mid-engine chassis. A variety of improvements were introduced for model year 2000, including an enlarged 2.7-liter, 217-horsepower flat-six engine that employed Porsche's first drive-by-wire throttle control. These cars were designed with corners in mind and often out-class much more powerful machinery when the roads get twisty. Overall reliability is good, especially for cars with service history/records, such as this one.
