What We Like

Porsche’s venerable 911SC provides a pure driving experience while also being civilized enough for the daily commute. This ROW example has service records since 2005 and benefits from a variety of updates, including an engine rebuild at 69k miles with updated 3.2 Carrera timing-chain tensioners. Desirable upgrades include factory-style front and rear spoilers, Wevo shifter components, 16-inch Fuchs alloy wheels, and more. A set of US-spec catalytic converters accompany the sale. Seller Information

Vehicle History & Overview

This 911SC is an ROW example and is believed to be a European-market car. Documentation from September 2005 includes an inspection was done at MPL Auto Repair of Englewood, Colorado. An engine and transmission rebuild totaling nearly $10,000 was completed in October 2005 at 69,591 miles. The seller purchased the 911 in December 2021 and performed a variety of maintenance and repairs in preparation for the sale. Per the seller and an included paint-gauge report, the entire vehicle appears to have been repainted at some point, but no specific record is available.

The 911SC is part of the G-series family and was produced from 1978 – 1983 in the US. The SC, short for Super Carrera, features a 3.0-liter flat-six paired with a “915-series” 5-speed manual gearbox driving only the rear wheels. Although power output was under 200 horsepower, the SC's lightweight chassis and sharp handling dynamics made it competitive against cars with more power. The ROW-variant featured here is desirable due to increased power output and smaller bumperettes on the rear.
