This Malaysian Porsche 911 went from scrapheap to showstopper

The 2020 covid pandemic led a lot of people to undertake a lot of harebrained schemes. Being cooped up at home – unable to travel or go to the office or hang out with friends at the local coffee shop – will do that to a person. Just ask Lawson Lee. An entrepreneur with an allergy to idleness, the Kuala Lumpur resident suddenly found himself, like billions of other people around the globe in early 2020, with too much time on his hands, a dangerous situation for a man whose brain, by his own admission, doesn’t do down time.

Enthusiast Roundtable: The BMW E28 is a classic driver for the modern world

By the time Claus Luthe joined BMW in 1976, he had already experienced enough “history” – both personal and professional – to fill several lifetimes. A native of Wuppertal, Germany, Luthe had lived through the ravages of World War II in his native Germany, during which time he had lost his own father to the conflict, and he had already done tours of duty as an apprentice at the Voll bus manufacturing company and as a designer at the Fiat’s German subsidiary, followed by a stint at NSU, where one of his designs, the NSU Spider, was the first car in the world with a rotary engine.

How Rennsport Reunion 7 transcends Porsche as the ultimate enthusiast gathering

If we took anything away from Rennsport Reunion 7, it’s the reinforcement that Porsche remains alone on its cultural mountaintop.
